Organizational electronics recycling for Detroit

When a refresh, relocation, closure, or equipment clearance leaves technology to retire, the project needs more than a drop-off. eLake helps organizations identify the equipment stream, coordinate logistics, address applicable data-bearing devices, and close the project with agreed records for recycling, disposition, custody, and erasure.

Recycling Certificates & Project Records

Retain the certificates and project records agreed for your business electronics recycling project. ESG reporting can also be included to support your organization's reporting needs.

Certificate of Recycling
Receive customer certificates for electronics processed through the agreed recycling route.
Certificate of Data Destruction
Receive destruction certificates where included data-bearing assets undergo the agreed destruction service.
Asset Inventory Manifest
Keep a record of the equipment included in your business recycling project.
Disposition Report
Document the completed equipment recovery, recycling and responsible downstream outcome.

Common questions

Can you recycle a mixed load from an office refresh?

Yes. Organizations can submit mixed business electronics such as computers, monitors, printers, networking equipment, phones, parts, and cables for review. The accepted stream and applicable services are confirmed for the particular project.

Do you handle data on retired drives and devices?

Applicable data-bearing equipment can receive wiping/media sanitization or physical destruction, with applicable Erasure Proof or an Certificate of Data Destruction when included in the agreed service. Data-service planning follows NIST SP 800-88 Rev. 2 guidance.

Can qualifying equipment be purchased or resold?

Value Recovery may include direct purchasing or resale on the customer’s behalf for qualifying equipment. Not every item has recovery value, and the available path depends on the equipment review and project agreement.

What records can an organization receive?

Depending on the agreed service, records may include a Certificate of Data Destruction, Certificate of Recycling, Disposition Report, Asset Inventory Manifest, Chain of Custody Record, Erasure Proof, and ESG reporting.
