Set a date and time for pickup, or drop off your electronics anytime at our Livonia facility.

2. Processing & Recycling

All items are evaluated for reuse when possible and responsibly recycled to minimize landfill waste.

3. Certification & Reporting

Upon request, we provide Certificates of Recycling and Data Destruction, ensuring full traceability and compliance.

What Items Can I Recycle?

At eLake Tech Solutions, we accept a wide range of electronic devices for secure recycling and responsible reuse. Whether you’re cleaning out old equipment at home or managing surplus IT assets for your organization, we ensure every item is handled safely, recycled properly, and diverted from landfills.

Accepted Items Include:

• Computers & Laptops — desktops, towers, and notebooks

• Tablets & Mobile Devices — iPads, smartphones, and cell phones

• Monitors & Displays — LCD, LED, and flat panel screens

• Batteries & Power Supplies — UPS systems, laptop adapters, and cables

• Peripherals & Accessories — keyboards, mice, chargers, and docking stations

Data-Bearing Devices

All devices that store data, such as hard drives, SSDs, and mobile phones, are securely wiped or shredded in accordance with NIST 800-88 data destruction standards. Certificates are available upon request.

What Is Electronics Recycling?

Electronics recycling, also called e-waste recycling, is the process of recovering valuable materials from used or obsolete electronic devices.
This helps reduce the environmental impact of discarded technology while conserving raw materials needed for new products.

As technology advances, millions of computers, phones, and tablets are replaced each year, creating one of the fastest-growing waste streams worldwide. Proper recycling prevents hazardous materials such as lead, mercury, and cadmium from entering landfills and allows metals, plastics, and glass to be recovered and reused.

For safety and environmental compliance, we cannot accept:

• Large appliances (refrigerators, microwaves, etc.)

• CRT televisions or tube monitors

• Household hazardous waste
