Detroit Server & Data Center Liquidation

Turn retired enterprise hardware into a clearer disposition plan without closing your server room or data center.

eLake helps Detroit-area organizations evaluate qualifying surplus servers, storage, networking, and supporting infrastructure for direct purchasing or agreed resale on your behalf. Add data services and customer records where needed, then close the project with documented disposition.

Enterprise hardware liquidation with data accountability

A refresh, consolidation, lease return, or capacity change can leave valuable infrastructure out of service before the site itself is ready to close. eLake leads with Value Recovery for qualifying equipment, while coordinating data handling and agreed closeout records so your team can move retired hardware forward with a clear result.

Value Recovery

Surplus enterprise hardware can retain resale value after upgrades or consolidation. eLake reviews qualifying servers, storage and networking equipment for direct purchase or an agreed resale arrangement.

Fair Market Value Assessment
Review qualifying equipment by model, configuration, condition and current buyer demand.
Equipment Grading
Assess equipment condition and resale suitability.
IT Asset Remarketing
Connect qualifying computers, servers, networking equipment and related technology with resale channels.
Value Recovery Settlement
Provide an agreed purchase offer or recovery settlement for equipment sold on your behalf.

Why choose eLake

Enterprise equipment needs a different conversation from ordinary office electronics. We help you address which surplus enterprise hardware can be sold and what records are needed? For data-bearing hardware, wiping/media sanitization or physical destruction can be coordinated as applicable, with proof of erasure and agreed records supporting your disposition file.

Value Recovery first

Qualifying enterprise equipment may be purchased directly or offered for resale on your behalf, keeping potential recovery central to the retirement decision.

Data services when required

Retired drives and devices can receive wiping/media sanitization or physical destruction, with Proof of Erasure for applicable work.

A documented closeout

Agreed project records can include asset, custody, destruction, recycling, disposition, and ESG information for internal review.

Livonia headquarters · Detroit service

Serving Detroit organizations from Livonia

From its Livonia headquarters, eLake coordinates server and data-center liquidation inquiries for organizations across Detroit and nearby business communities. This fits teams handling a partial refresh, storage replacement, colocation change, facility consolidation, or surplus infrastructure that no longer supports current operations.

You do not need to plan a whole-site closure to ask about enterprise equipment. Share the hardware situation and desired outcome; eLake can discuss equipment review, pickup or logistics coordination, data services, and the records appropriate to the agreed project.

Our process

From your first conversation to documented project closeout.

  1. Describe the surplus

Tell us what is leaving service, where it fits in your environment, and whether this is a partial or broader equipment change.

  2. Review recovery options

We discuss qualifying equipment for direct purchasing or agreed resale on your behalf, along with items that need another disposition path.

  3. Coordinate data and logistics

Plan applicable wiping/media sanitization or physical destruction, pickup or logistics coordination, and the handling of data-bearing assets.

  4. Receive the closeout

Complete the agreed project with applicable erasure proof, certificates, inventory, custody, disposition, and ESG reporting records.

Common questions

Do I need to decommission the entire data center to sell surplus equipment?

No. A partial refresh, storage replacement, server-room change, or isolated surplus lot can be discussed without a whole-facility closure. The equipment situation and desired outcome determine the appropriate project scope.

Can eLake purchase our retired servers or storage directly?

Qualifying equipment may be eligible for direct purchasing. Where direct purchase is not the fit, resale on your behalf may be discussed. Value depends on the equipment and project details; suitable equipment is evaluated individually.

What happens to data on drives and storage equipment?

Applicable data-bearing equipment can receive wiping/media sanitization or physical destruction. NIST SP 800-88 Rev. 2 is guidance, and agreed work may include Proof of Erasure or a Certificate of Data Destruction.

What records can support our equipment closeout?

Depending on the agreed service, records may include a Certificate of Data Destruction, Certificate of Recycling, Disposition Report, Asset Inventory Manifest, Chain of Custody Record, Erasure Proof, and ESG reporting.
